VAT FAQs
- When do I need to register for VAT?
- When your taxable turnover goes over £90,000 in any rolling 12 months, or you expect it to in the next 30 days alone. Try our VAT threshold checker.
- When is my VAT return due?
- Usually one month and seven days after the end of each VAT quarter, with payment due the same day.
- Is the Flat Rate Scheme worth it?
- It depends on your costs. Businesses that spend very little on goods are treated as limited cost traders and pay 16.5%, which often removes the benefit. We will check for you.
